Sheridan Snyder, LLB (Hon), OBE – Chief Executive Officer
Sheridan Snyder has over 40 years experience in creating successful, sustainable companies.
He was an original founder of Genzyme Inc. and, most recently, the CEO of Upstate Inc. Mr.
Snyder is chairman of BioCatalyst International, the investment and startup management
company that is currently the sole investor in MolecularMD. Former companies – with a
combined market value of over $18 billion – include Genzyme, the Instapak division of Sealed
Air Corp. and Dyax.
Research and Development
Stephane Wong, PhD, MBA – Chief Scientific Officer
Stephane Wong has over 10 years experience in cancer research and has co-authored 10
publications in the CML field. Dr. Wong obtained a PhD in molecular biology and an MBA from
the University of California , Los Angeles (UCLA). While in Business Development at Upstate
Inc., he identified key new technologies to complement Upstate's existing product portfolio.
Greg Cox, PhD – Manager, Chemistry
Greg Cox has 12 years experience in the life science and clinical diagnostics industries that
combines product development know-how and business development strategy. Dr. Cox
developed novel fluorescence-based technologies and products for molecular and cell biology
as a Scientist and R&D Manager at Molecular Probes, Inc. Later, he managed a portfolio of
technologies in executing out-licensing and OEM supply agreements as a Business
Development Manager at Invitrogen Corp. Dr. Cox has published two patents and ten scientific
articles. He received his BS in Biochemistry from Indiana University, his PhD in
Anatomy/Molecular Embryology from the School of Medicine at Indiana University and was an
NIH post-doctoral fellow at the Rockefeller University.
Eric Bruening, PhD – Manager, Molecular Biology
Eric Bruening brings an extensive background of academic and industry experience in
molecular assay development. Prior to joining Molecular MD, Dr. Bruening led a small team of
research and development scientists in nucleic acid technology development and marker
discovery for Rubicon Genomics Inc. This work resulted in several patented technologies and
molecular markers for DNA, RNA, and CpG Methylation based assays. His doctoral training at
the University of Nevada-Reno in molecular virology and post-doctoral training in both academic
(McArdle Cancer Research Center) and industry (Warner-Lambert, Parke-Davis) settings
provide a unique understanding of the needs and functions of molecular diagnostics.
Business Development/Sales and Marketing
Inger Larsen – Director of Business Development
Inger Larsen provides MolecularMD and its clients with over fifteen years of technical business
development experience in the biotech industry. Ms. Larsen has had extensive exposure within
the international pharmaceutical industry within the areas of both drug discovery and clinical
development. Prior to MolecularMD, she worked at Epitomics, supporting their antibody
therapeutics licensing program and services division.
Dan Snyder, MBA – President, COO
Dan Snyder has 15 years of experience in the life science research and diagnostic fields
supporting the market development of high value products and services to both pharmaceutical
and academia clients. Mr. Snyder has worked extensively in supporting new product
introductions and rapid market adoption for novel proteomic and genomic technologies. His
commitment to customer satisfaction and close interaction with MolecularMD’s assay
development laboratory helps to ensure MolecularMD meets or surpasses all client
expectations.
Clinical Laboratory Services
Chad Galderisi, D.O. – Laboratory Director
Dr. Galderisi is dual certified by the American Board of Pathology and the American College of
Medical Genetics in Molecular Genetic Pathology. He is currently Medical Director of
Hematology, Clinical Microbiology and Molecular Diagnostics for the Portland VA Medical
Center. Dr. Galderisi is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pathology at Oregon Health &
Science University and has extensive experience in high-sensitivity hematopoetic assay
development. Dr. Galderisi is Laboratory Director and on the Board of Directors of MolecularMD,
Corp.
Courtney Fuller – Director of Clinical Services
Courtney Fuller joined MolecularMD at its inception in 2006 and has helped to establish the
MolecularMD Clinical Service Laboratory as a leading molecular diagnostics reference lab
serving large international late phase clinical trials. Before joining MolecularMD, Ms. Fuller
spent over 15 years in Research and Development and Biotechnology institutions including Oxis
International, ICOS Corporation, Baylor College of Medicine, Oregon Regional Primate research
Center and the Oregon State Forensic Chemistry Laboratories. While in these positions, she
was responsible for a variety of technical fields including immunoassay development,
analytical and forensic chemistry, quality assurance and control, clinical trial management,
product development, as well as research and development in both molecular and microbiology
laboratories.
Nasry Yassa – Vice President of Operations
Nasry Yassa has over 27 years of clinical diagnostics experience. He is responsible for running
day to day operations related to clinical laboratory services and research and development.
Prior to MolecularMD, Mr. Yassa was the President and COO of PIL Diagnostics Inc. and was
responsible for expanding the clinical trials operation for Phase I-IV studies. Before that, Mr.
Yassa served as Vice President, Office of Technology Management at Pathway Diagnostics
where he managed a multi-disciplinary organization working to identify and in-license novel
technology from discovery companies, academia and bio-pharma in all disease areas.
